Rebates to replace existing gas hot water systems with solar hot water systems.
- Metropolitan Melbourne: $300 – $1,500
- Regional Victoria: $400 – $1,600
Rebates vary for solar hot water systems depending on their size (amount of water produced) and performance (solar contribution), as well as relative cost of installation.

Queensland
The Queensland Government currently provides a rebate for eligible householders replacing an electric storage hot water system with a solar water heater or heat pump. South Australia
Concession card holders who install a new solar water heater or a new electric heat pump water heater may be eligible for a $500 solar hot water rebate from the South Australian Government. Click here for further details.
